Accessibility Statement

TurFresh is committed to making shop.turfresh.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We believe shopping for turf care should be simple for every customer, whatever tools they use to browse the web.

Our conformance goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. We consider this site partially conformant, meaning the content we control meets the standard while some third party content may not fully conform. We review and improve accessibility on an ongoing basis.

What we do to keep the store accessible

  • We audit the store against WCAG 2.1 AA using automated testing (axe-core) plus manual keyboard, focus, and color contrast checks. The most recent full audit and remediation pass was completed in October 2026.
  • Accessibility is part of our design standard: text and interface colors are checked for sufficient contrast, animations respect the reduced motion setting in your device preferences, and new pages are tested before launch.
  • Issues reported by customers are prioritized and fixed as quickly as possible.

Accessibility features of this site

  • A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page
  • Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons, menus, and form fields
  • Descriptive text alternatives for images, and labels on all form controls
  • Consistent navigation, semantic headings, and landmark regions for screen reader users
  • Text that can be resized up to 200 percent without loss of content or function
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds the WCAG 2.1 AA minimums on content we control

Compatibility

This site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack. For the best experience we recommend keeping your browser and screen reader up to date.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Third party content. Some features, such as customer review widgets, payment installment messaging, chat or SMS popups, and embedded videos, are provided by third parties. We do not control their code, and they may not fully conform. We pass accessibility feedback on to these vendors.
  • Customer generated content. Product reviews are written by customers and may occasionally lack image descriptions.
  • Checkout. Checkout is hosted and maintained by Shopify, which publishes its own accessibility commitments.
