TurFresh ("TurFresh," "we," "us," or "our") operates shop.turfresh.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site or make a purchase, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you place an order, create an account, subscribe to Autoship, sign up for emails or texts, use our free tools, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and order details. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors and are never stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site we automatically collect device information, including your IP address, browser type, time zone, the pages you view, the products you look at, and how you arrived at the Site. We collect this using cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from service providers we use to operate the Site, such as our ecommerce platform, analytics providers, and advertising partners.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to fulfill and deliver orders, process payments and manage subscriptions, provide customer support, screen orders for fraud and risk, communicate with you about orders and, where you have opted in, send marketing emails and text messages, operate loyalty, referral, and affiliate programs, improve and optimize the Site, and comply with legal obligations. Our free tools, such as the product finder and turf calculator, process the answers you enter to generate results in your browser and, where noted, for anonymous analytics.

3. Cookies and Tracking

The Site is hosted on Shopify and uses cookies that are necessary for the store to function, such as keeping items in your cart, along with analytics and advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site and Google Ads to measure and improve advertising. You can learn how Google uses your data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners and opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also control cookies in your browser settings, though blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information with service providers who need it to support our business: Shopify, which powers our online store, payment processors, shipping and fulfillment carriers, our subscription management provider, email and SMS marketing platforms, and analytics and advertising partners. We may also share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, or otherwise protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing of identifiers with advertising partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws, and you can opt out as described in Section 7.

5. Marketing Choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. You can stop marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about your orders or subscriptions. Autoship subscriptions can be skipped, rescheduled, or canceled from your account at any time.

6. Data Retention

We keep order and account records for as long as needed to provide our services, meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, and resolve disputes. When we no longer need personal information, we delete or de-identify it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

United States state rights. Depending on your state of residence, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and Virginia among others, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, access a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Europe and the United Kingdom. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, object to, or erase your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We process your data to perform our contract with you, to comply with our legal obligations, and for our legitimate business interests described above.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and you may designate an authorized agent to act for you where the law allows.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted checkout provided by our ecommerce platform. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to it, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, though we do honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. The effective date above always shows the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
